I am happy to share that Louise is doing well and is now five pounds, six ounces! I’ve neglected to post a big update on her because I haven’t had time to sit and reflect on all that has happened, but I know so many of y’all have been faithfully keeping her in your prayers so I wanted to share what she’s been up to lately.
First, I just want to say thank you for the outpouring of love and support during these past few weeks. I’ve been kind of quiet the past few days as I’ve been recovering, but I wanted to update y’all on baby and me because I know so many of you have been praying!
I am not one who usually likes to read other people’s birth stories (so I won’t be offended if you don’t want to read mine!). But this is also a story of answered prayers, and may give hope to other moms in similar situations, so I felt it was worth sharing.
So I know I said we weren’t finding out the sex of this baby. But when I went on hospital bed rest, and our lives were put into complete disarray, my husband and I felt that our children needed something concrete, something positive amidst all this unknown. So a few weeks ago we ordered a cake from The Hospitality Sweet and Megan Weaver took the sweetest pictures in my little hospital room.
I am so grateful to those who have reached out or commented that they are praying for baby and me. Things seem to be stable right now. At this point, I am so thankful for the monotony of bed rest, rather than a baby in the NICU.
