How I’m Wearing the Color of the Season

color of the season, marsala, dallas blogger, dallas fashion blogger,

Confession: When Pantone announced that the 2015 Color of the Year was Marsala, I was not impressed. Okay, maybe I was more disappointed. In my grandmother’s words, maroon shades are not becoming to my pale skin and light hair. But I was determined to work the popular color into my wardrobe somehow.

Since a solid marsala top or dress would wash me out, I sought out to find something with a taste of the color. This floral dress was just the thing (note: it’s on sale!).

Another idea for working the color of the season into your wardrobe? This wine-colored tote for $54 (free shipping, too). And bonus, if you get tired of the color, it reverses to black! (It also comes in a ton of other cute color combinations!)
