Headed to the Pool with Supergoop!

Headed to the Pool with Supergoop!

Uncategorized

The girls and I ventured to the neighborhood pool earlier this week. It was so hot I told them we were going to stay one hour, tops! So we only took the essentials: towels, goggles, and Supergoop! sunscreen. Today I am excited to partner with Supergoop! to share some helpful products for you and your family.

Sunscreen – like any beauty product – is such a personal thing and I feel like my friends are always looking for the “right” sunscreen for their family. Known for being experts in the world of sunscreens, Supergoop! seems to have a product for just about any preference or need, all of which have the crucial UVA and UVB protections.

Now I know many of y’all are obsessed with Supergoop!’s popular Everyday Sunscreen. It goes smoothly on the body and face and does not contain the frowned-upon ingredients of oxybenzone or parabens.

The pump (shown above) was designed for little hands to carry and is perfect to tote the beach or pool. And file this away: you can tie a bow on the pump for a super cute hostess gift during the summer!

Now for those who prefer mineral sunscreens, Supergoop! has a line that doesn’t leave that usual white residue. (A quick refresher: mineral sunscreens are made with zinc oxide that isn’t absorbed into the skin.)

Enter the Mineral Sunscreen Mist!

Now this is not an aerosol spray sunscreen (that can be harmful to breathe). There is actually a bag of sunscreen in the bottle! Be sure to shake it really well before using. It sprays on white, but then rubs clear. So easy!

Another neat new product from Supergoop! is their Mineral Setting Powder with SPF 45. The translucent powder sets makeup and can be reapplied throughout the day (which reduces shine so it’s great for oily skin!).

Supergoop!’s Mineral Sunscreens:

Supergoop!’s Defense Refresh Setting Mist is not a mineral sunscreen, but I think it’s a better makeup setter for dry skin. Spray this on after you apply your makeup in the morning and then throw in your bag for a sporting event or day of shopping. Just give yourself a refreshing spritz every few hours to reapply your sunscreen without having to rub on any cream over your makeup!

Now who has a child who doesn’t like the texture of creams rubbed all of over their body? I actually have one child and one husband who can’t stand lotions and creams so Supergoop!’s new light and airy Sunscreen Mousse with SPF 50 is absolutely perfect. It goes on so easy and doesn’t leave a sticky residue.

Thanks so much to Supergoop! for letting me share some of your family-friendly products. Do you love Supergoop!? Share your favorite product below.

Now I need to gear up for another hot day at the pool this weekend!

  1. Lee, What a great post! I had no idea that they had such a wide variety of products! I will be checking them out. Thanks for sharing. xoxo Suzy

  2. We’re loving the big bottle of Everday Sunscreen while we’re in Colorado for the summer! I love that it rubs in clear, doesn’t leave a residue and has no smell to speak of.

  3. I have had several basal cell carcinomas in the last few years, and just yesterday my dermatologist told me that I need to be wearing at least SPF 30 all over my body, every single day. I have a face sunscreen I use and like, but I need to find one for my body. I don’t like the feel and smell of regular sunscreen for every day use, and wanted to find something that was more like a body lotion with SPF 30 or higher. I lot of lotion brands only have SPF 15, if any. Since you have tried this everyday Supergoop in the lotion form, do you feel like it is similar enough to regular body lotion?
