Nashville Girls Trip + Instagram Recap!

Nashville Girls’ Trip + Instagram Roundup!

Instagram Roundup

nashville1

Last weekend I traveled to Nashville for a girls’ trip with my college friends. Since Nashville is such a hip and popular place now I thought I’d share the places we went and things we did. Plus, I’m sharing recent Instagram outfit photos with direct links so if you don’t use Liketoknow.it, this post is for you!

A year after we graduated Vanderbilt, five of my girlfriends visited me in San Francisco. We ventured up to Sausalito and beautiful Sonoma and thus began our annual girls’ trip. Well, not exactly annual – we took a few years off when we were all having babies!

We’ve been to New York, New Orleans, the Texas Hill Country, Charlotte, Atlanta, and this past weekend we finally made it back to good ole Nashville. I know it is a privilege to be able to travel like we do, but we made it a priority in the beginning, even if it meant driving long distances and sleeping on each other’s apartment floors.

Long-distance friendship takes work but the returns are ten-fold. We have seen each other through the precious ups and the sorrowful downs of life, including the loss of our dear friend Megan to Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. Now there are only five of us, but the tradition continues in Megan’s honor.

Our first girls’ trip to San Francisco. Megan is pictured lower left. She was the most devoted friend anyone could have and we miss her dearly!

It was so fun seeing our old Nashville stomping grounds and visiting new places like 12th South, where I stepped into Draper James (much bigger than the new Dallas store!) and a beautiful jewelry shop called Judith Bright. If you are in the area definitely pop into Savant, a very cool vintage store.

The first day we went to lunch at Epice, a Lebanese restaurant that was fabulous. Great for outdoor seating! We then walked the 12th South shopping area (where Draper James is located!). For dinner, we went to Lockeland Table and it was great. And the next day we went to brunch at Le Sel. It was delicious and I just loved the pretty atmosphere! The next night we were going to go the the very popular Husk restaurant, but instead got tickets to the Bluebird on the Mountain concert.

If you are familiar with Nashville, you’ve heard of the famous Bluebird Cafe, where country music singers go to get discovered in Nashville. Well, Bluebird on the Mountain is a small outdoor concert at Vanderbilt’s Dyer Observatory that features the songwriters that wrote the number one hits of some of the biggest names in country music. Hopefully, you saw my Instastoires with highlights – it was amazing! Pack a picnic, wine, candles, and enjoy great music under the stars. Tickets fo super fast and go on sale for next season starting in November!

  1. Lee – Love this post! Megan is smiling down!

    Imogene + Willie jeans!

Epice was my favorite place to eat when I left Nashville in Jan 2015. Everything is so full of incredible flavor and spices!

    Hope all is well!
