Closet Staple: My New Black Heels

Looking for solid black heels? These pretty pumps meet your church, date night, and holiday party outfit needs. I’m excited to partner with Nordstrom to share how I style these shoes, plus tell you why Nordstrom is one of the easiest places to shop this holiday season.

I’ve had the same black pointy pumps for several years (probably a year too long!) but I loved them so much. So I’ve been on the hunt this fall for something to replace them. These feminine d’Orsay Sam Edelman pumps drew me right in, especially after the great experience I’ve had with the Sam Edelam flats (i.e. “the best flats ever”) that I wrote about last week in my fall shoe roundup post.

I wore my new pumps to church last Sunday. The heels on these are three inches, but didn’t seem too tall. (Four inch heels are just too tall for my comfort level!).

These pumps are also perfect to sharpen up jeans and a cute top for dinner. Here I paired with the reversible cape I showed y’all a few weeks ago.

These pumps come in 8 colors! Mine are suede but they also come in black leather. And if you like a more traditional pump, try these Sam Edelmans.

I seriously mine wear them all the the time. No need to have another black heel in my closet this fall!

Sizing runs true to size, although when ordering online at Nordstrom I sometimes two sizes and send back what doesn’t work (because why not when shipping and returns are free?).

Something else I do when I don’t want to drag my three children into the shoe department, I order online and pick up in store. (Northpark in Dallas even has special parking spots reserved for this service!). It usually only takes a few hours before I receive an email that my order is ready. When I buy shoes this way, I will pick up my order at the first floor customer service desk (you have to show them your driver’s license) and then walk over the shoe department to try them on. If the size is wrong I can quickly exchange it for the right size and be on my way with my other mall stops!

Another tip as you shop this holiday: Nordstrom will bring your “buy online, pick up in store” order to your car! This is life-changing if you have babies or just don’t want to see anyone you know that day;). Call the main store number and ask for the “Buy Online, Pick Up in Store” desk, give them your name and order number if you have it, and they will happily bring your order out to your car at no extra charge. So easy!

If you missed my Go-To Fall Shoe Post from last week, with the boots and flats I wear often, you can read it here.

Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post. All outfits are styled by me and, as always, all opinions are my own.
