A Coffee Maker That Makes a Great Gift + White Chocolate Peppermint Latte Recipe!

I have been using a traditional Hamilton Beach Flex Brew Coffee Maker  maker for years. Personally, I just like my morning coffee brewed out of a pot. But I like the idea of a K-Cup coffee maker for making single serve hot chocolate and tea or when my mom visits and wants to make a cup of decaf. So I jumped at the opportunity to give the new Hamilton Beach Flex Duo a try. And, yay,  I can make a White Chocolate Peppermint Latte in just a few steps without brewing a whole pot of coffee. Here’s what you need:

Coffee

Brew a cup of coffee via the single serve section of the Hamilton Beach Flex Brew Coffee Maker. You can use a K-Cup or a use your own coffee grounds in the provided filter.

Peppermint Simple Syrup

A  classic simple syrup can be used in so many ways during the holiday season and adds the perfect amount of sweet and flavor. Boil one cup of water, one cup of sugar, and one tablespoon of  peppermint extract will be the sweetener to your latte.

Milk or Almond Milk

A latte is a coffee drink made with steamed milk. Almond, coconut, hemp or traditional cows milk will work perfect!

Garnish

The best part of the White Chocolate Peppermint Latte is how festive it looks! Top your festive drink off with fresh whipped cream, white chocolate shavings, crushed peppermint, or chocolate covered peppermint stick.

White Chocolate Peppermint Latte

Ingredients

6 ounces Coffee, Strong Brewed
1 Tbsp Peppermint Simple Syrup (1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup peppermint extract)
1 ounce White Chocolate
1/2 Cup Milk (regular, almond, coconut, hemp)

Garnish:
Whipped Cream
White Chocolate
Crushed Peppermint
Chocolate Dipped Peppermint Stick

Instructions:

1. Brew coffee
2. Heat milk, peppermint simple syrup and white chocolate until steaming
3. Whisk milk to froth (or use a milk frother if you have one)
4. Pour milk into coffee and stir to combine
5. Garnish with fresh whipped cream, white chocolate shavings and crushed peppermint
6. Serve and Enjoy!
