Sweet sundresses are my answer to keeping my girls cool and cute all summer long. I’m sharing my favorite everyday dresses on the blog with Nordstrom today with that timeless style I know y’all love. (Plus, my new Lilly dress!).
My friend once told me that her summer wardrobe consists entirely of sundresses because dresses are an effortless (and cool!) way to always look put together.
Well, I think the same goes for little girls. I find I spend less money buying several versatile dresses than buying a lot of different shorts and tops that have to be coordinated. And, honestly, it makes my life a little simpler because my girls can grab a casual dress out of their closet (they dress themselves!) and I know they will generally look cute (i.e. less arguments that what they chose doesn’t match).
These adorable seersucker dresses I found at Nordstrom are great because they can go from daytime to dinner and even to church.
I mean, what’s not to like about seersucker and eyelet – so classic! And I just love the sweet detailing in the back.
Another summer staple we buy every year: Saltwater Sandals.
I grew up wearing Saltwater Sandals and now it’s fun to dress my daughters in them, too. The classic “surfer” sandal is great for growing feet with their adjustable straps and they are quite comfortable. My girls wear the surfer sandals throughout the week and I save the cris cross sandals for church and nicer occasions.
I always buy white sandals because it’s classic and goes with everything, but Nordstrom carries all the styles and colors of this popular brand of children’s shoes for both boy and girls. (Tip: the Magic Eraser is a great way to get scuff marks off these shoes!)
We are all ready for the Texas heat in our summer dresses! Well, maybe…it’s been awhile since I’ve been pregnant in the summer;).
If you love girls’ dresses like this that are simple and tasteful like I do, Nordstrom has so many on their website – all with free shipping and returns. (No need to drag your children to the dressing room!). To make it super easy for you, I’ve pulled my favorite everyday dresses below:
I’ll be sharing more of our summer staples in the coming weeks. Remember, Nordstrom is also a great place to buy children’s summer staples like swim suits, flip flops, and the super popular Natives brand.
Thanks so much to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own and outfits are styled by me.
