Easy Meal Prep Kits with Kroger

I enjoy cooking but on most weeknights I just don’t have several hours to prepare and cook a healthy meal for my family. That’s why I’m excited to partner with Kroger today to share about their new Prep+Pared meal kits

I love that Kroger is jumping on the meal kit bandwagon. Their Prep+Pared kits have fresh ingredients, all prepped and ready to go, so you can enjoy making dinner for your family without have to think about all gathering all the ingredients and doing the tedious prep work. And no shipping involved. It’s right in the deli section (or via your local grocery delivery service – yay for that!).

Some of the kits at my local Kroger included: Truffles Steak and Sweet Potatoes Fries with Caramelized Onions, Crispy Pork with Roasted Tomato and Creamed Spinach, and Curry Coconut Chicken with Lemongrass Chutney and Toasted Rice and Green Beans. But I decided give the Seared Salmon with Dill Butter + Potato Smashcakes kit a whirl.

Each ingredient in the kit was conveniently prepped. For example, the potatoes were already boiled; I just needed to mash them in the bag and add the dill and sour cream (both provided in the kit).

My daughter even had fun putting together the potato smashcakes.

After seasoning the salmon with salt and pepper we put everything in a skillet and cooked according to the (succinct) instructions. The smashcakes probably could have cooked a bit longer but they were delicious! The kit even came with a lemon to season the salmon. Really the only seasonings I used from my kitchen were salt and pepper.

Since we usually have lettuce in the fridge I added an easy green salad to fill out the meal.

This meal kit was about $20 and was supposed to feed two people. But one would easily feed my three children. Some of the meals start at just $14 so I will have to try one of those next!

Gift idea: You could tie a bow on one of these kits and give as a little thank you gift to an employee or even as a housewarming gift. Or just leave a few in your daughter or son’s apartment the next time you drop in. They would be so grateful!

Have you tried one of these Prep+Pared Meal kits yet? Let me know if you have a favorite.

Thanks so much to Kroger for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.

  1. Thanks Lee, these look great. I don’t want to subscribe to a meal service because my plans change every day. I appreciate your wonderful suggestions.

  2. I have purchased this and LOVE it! I lost the recipe card and have begged for them to bring it back, to no avail. Bummer!
