The BEST Teacher Gifts this Holiday Season

The BEST Teacher Gifts this Holiday Season!

Uncategorized

Teachers deserve something wonderful, don’t they? Today I am highlighting the many thoughtful teacher gifts in DoSayGive’s Gift Guide. Plus some great weekend sales.

As I say in all my teacher gift posts, a gift card is always a welcome gift. Generic gift cards to Target, Visa gift cards, etc. are great if you don’t know them well. Make sure you know the teachers’ likes/dislikes if you are doing a more personal gift card for a manicure or juice bar (and make sure it’s close to their home!). Did you know you can buy Redbox gift credits? Print out and pair with some candy or popcorn for a cute gift. (This is particularly great for men’s teacher gifts!)

If you want to give a potted holiday plant, consider giving it sooner instead of waiting until the last day of school before Christmas so they can enjoy it in their classroom. Teachers often receive a lot of potted poinsettias and amaryllis plants and Trader Joe’s orchids on the last day of school before Christmas:).

When giving something more personal, be sure to really know your teacher. Or check the “favorite things” sheet the room moms sent out in the beginning of the year. As always, a note of gratitude is much appreciated.

I know sometimes, though, we just want to give a little gift. Before I get to the gift ideas, I want to tell you about our gift guide sponsor, Joy Creative Shop. Well, I’ve told you about this company a lot on the blog because I just love their modern, high-quality stationery. Their hand-lettered notepads for teacher gifts. I use the large size for my daily to-do list. Also a good gift for a friend!

P.S. Their holiday gift tags make nice neighbor/family friend gifts. Deadline for ordering is December 10th.

Now for the gifts! Many of the smaller gifts are great for “specials” teachers like art, music, P.E., etc. Also, don’t forget Trader Joe’s for inexpensive food gifts!

  1. As a teacher and a mom, I can say that this is an AWESOME post! I love the idea of consumable items that aren’t edible (lotions, special soaps, etc.). The best gift I ever received was a gift card paired with 2 Deborah Lippman nail polishes. This showed that my students (and their family) were not only generous but that they really knew me! I love to get my nails done and always have a fresh manicure, so it was really fun to see that they had picked out some colors they thought I would like. That said, a hand-written note sent alone or with a gift is one of the most gratifying gifts for a teacher to receive. It makes me feel seen and heard. Thank you for another great guide, Lee!
