I love sharing classic children’s clothing companies and today I am sharing one of my go-to sources for affordable, everyday knits for my girls these past few years (and, don’t worry, they have boys’ clothes, too!).
Started by two friends with Southern roots, Alicen Grandjean and Evey Ellis, now both of Waco, Texas, Eyelet & Ivy seeks to fill a void in the children’s clothing market with their soft, everyday knits. Both avid trunk show customers, Alicen and Evey wanted to create a line that was just as darling, but with a focus on comfort so children would want to wear them everyday – particularly older children!
What is so dear about the company is that they have made it their mission to raise awareness and acceptance of Down Syndrome by using Evey’s daughter, Rebecca, as one of their adorable models. As Evey told me, “Rebecca is more alike our other children than she is different.”
If you follow me on Instagram you have probably seen my girls wear this precious brand, which I found a few years ago when I was looking for tasteful nightgowns for my girls. (Note: they are called “loungewear” for legal reasons, but my girls wear them as nightgowns). I was so impressed with the quality of my first order that I have since ordered two more matching sets for my girls, including the ones they wore on Christmas Eve:
I order up a size so my girls can wear them longer (at least a year, usually two) and after that pass them down to the younger sister.
This fall I have been just as impressed with the day clothes I ordered for my girls. If you follow me on Instagram you have probably noticed my girls wear their Eyelet & Ivy clothes often – to Mother’s Day Out, doctor’s appointments, even to Thanksgiving this past November! They like that they aren’t scratchy or constricting; I like their classic style and sweet prints.
I love that Eyelet and Ivy designs their own prints and chooses only the highest quality 100% cotton and Pima Cotton fabrics. I can attest that their knits wash well and hold up much better than most!
Eyelet & Ivy is so kind to give DoSayGive readers a sneak peek at two collections launching next week. The Sailboat and Patriotic Collections are just adorable!
These sweet collections will ship the first of May. (Because they make their own fabrics, the shipping times is about 12 weeks.)
If you are a grandmother or aunt, these knits would make a wonderful gift. Matching/ coordinating children makes a mother’s heart melt! Bonus: many of their collections can be monogrammed as well!
Be sure you are following Eyelet & Ivy on Facebook and Instagram so you don’t miss their weekly sales. And, Dallas friends, Eyelet & Ivy will be having a trunk show in early February if you want to see these beautiful clothes in person. Contact Eyelet & Ivy to be included on the invitation list.
